Required Documents
- Original passport
- Valid ID (Kuwaiti Civil ID, Emirati ID or resident ID)
- 6 months salary account statement or an active account statement
- Salary certificate if your salary will be transferred to NBK UAE
- Reason for opening with supporting documents
- Additional documents may be required as per NBK UAE internal policy
- CRS self-declaration form (Available in the branch)
- FATCA self-declaration form (Available in the branch)

How can I open an account with NBK UAE?
You simply need to visit one of our branches and speak with a Customer Relationship Officer.

How do I close my Account?
You must visit one of our branches (within the UAE or any of our international branches for non‑UAE residents) to submit an account closure request.

What happens if I stop using my account?
If there is no activity on the account for 1 year, the account will be marked as inactive. If there is no activity for 3 years, the account will become dormant. If there is no activity for 5 years or more, the account will be classified as unclaimed. You will need to visit one of our branches to reactivate the account.
